Welcome to my first ever attempt at a blog. I am happy that you joined me in this adventure.
I am a painter, quilter and stained glass craftsperson. And I intentionally do not use the word artist because I am not one. I enjoy my hobbies -- they keep me sane!
I am soon to be the proud grandmother of my 2nd grandchild. Ricky is 8, Natalya will probably be born within the week.
Last night I made a pillow case for Ricky's Christmas present -- with Egypt fabrics. I also began pillow cases for my daughter and her husband -- with skulls. Yes, skulls. They love that weird stuff.
I am also working on a patchwork purse for my mother made with some ultra suede. Not sure how that one is going to turn out, but it's worth a try.
I haven't been painting lately, but when I get home I'll try to figure out how to add more photos. I'll try to blog as often as I can.
On Sunday I am going to my friend Nan's house to learn how to do a One Block Wonder. My friend Diane and I attended Quiltfest in Jacksonville on September 27 and had a wonderful time. We bought patterns and fabrics -- I have enough to keep me busy for the next year! I also want to make a large scrappy prairie log cabin quilt for my bed next year. So plenty to do to keep me out of trouble.
Tonight I'm going dancing with some friends. It's a very nice way to dance, which I love -- it's at a Moose club, it starts and ends early (it ends about when I USED to go out!) and it's with friends -- no pressure, no meat market. As a married woman, I have no business in a meat market, but I still love to dance! Since my husband works most weekend nights, it's an opportunity for me to go and kick up my heels.
That's it for now. I hope I can figure out this blogging thing and make it worth your while to visit. Thanks so much!
I am a painter, quilter and stained glass person -- I won't use the word artist because it doesn't apply. I enjoy my crafts and the friends I've made with them and through them. I don't have very many -- I give almost everything I make away as what I hope are personalized gifts to friends and family. I do try to keep photos though!

Oh she looks beautiful! =)
She looks like her mama. Very pretty and your One Block Wonder is striking.
